Unable to receive external mail in exchange 2007

Hi, I'm a novice in Exchange 2007.  Recently I install exchange 2007 and can not receive external emails.  I have set the default receive connector to anonymous and still unable to receive mail.  My settings are:

Active Directory domain:  projectx.test.com   //   mailserver:   mailbox.projectx.test.com  // CAS with Hub Transport:   client.projectx.test.com

accepted domain:  test.com  and  projectx.test.com    //  internal and external url:  mail.test.com.  // MX record is pointed to mailbox server and "A" record for mail.test.com

Telnet to CAS server returned: 220 EXCHSERVER.   Send email from outside the internet returned with message:  all relevant MX records point to non-existent hosts.

    Help appreciated.

Re: Unable to receive external mail in exchange 2007

Is this a new server or did it suddenly fail? We had our server fail suddenly due to an old entry in IP Block List Providers that brought all SMTP traffic to a hault, we had to go into that setting and delete the entry but the entry had been in there for more then a year!
