Groupwise address generation after installing Exchange 2007

I’m using the Groupwise connector on an Exchange 2003 server to assist in a prolonged migration for a several thousand seat customer.

All was fine until Exchange 2007 was introduced into the org (connector is still running on Exchange 2003 server).  The email policy required to create GWISE addresses doesn’t work on Exchange 2007 so no Exchange mailboxes are visible on the Groupwise system.

MS Product support are aware of the problem but don’t have a fix yet. Has anybody got Exchange 2007 to generate foreign addresses – ideally Groupwise but anything would be a start?

    Regards

    Hi,

Just checking, have you migrated the Email address policy over to Exchange 2007? If so then yes it won't as you say create the GWISE addresses.

I worked on a GW to E2k7 migration and ran into exactly this problem. In the end I left the policies to be managed by the RUS on the e2k3 staging server.

    Is that viable for you?

    Cheers

    Nathan
