Q: How can I fix an Information Store that has experienced a dirty shutdown in Exchange?

A: If the Store is in a dirty shutdown state, you can use Eseutil’s soft-recovery mode to "clean" the Store. Navigate to the folder of the EDB file, and run

eseutil /r (store name without the .edb extension)

For example,

eseutil /r mailbox3
