Disable Calendar in Outlook 2007?

    Disable Calendar in Outlook 2007?

Hi - to make a long story short, we're planning a deployment of Outlook 2007 to our 45,000+ users and would like to do it without users being able to use the calendar function yet. We'd enable calendar in a few months, but right now want to deploy Outlook with everything usable except calendar. Outlook will be installed with an Outlook 2007 SP1 backend.  Trust me this is a legitimate need and I'm aware that it doesn't seem to make much sense.  The concern is that users will start creating calendar appointments before other users are running Outlook, so we need to plan our migration around mail first, calendar later.

I've been researching ways to disable calendar but have come up empty.  I know we can hide the calendar tab, but I don't see a way to prevent a user from opening it on their own.  I am wondering if the calendar form(s) can be replaced with some kind of empty form or something like that.

Anybody have ideas on this?  I greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

    Thanks very much
